If you crave a delicious meal from a Marseilles kitchen, make your way to Galei Gondola. Dine in an elegant yet homey setting, where the candle lit clothed tables suit a special night out and the professional staff is at your beck and call. Proprietors Eli Weizman and Rafi Amiti, professional restaurantiers for years, will guide you in choosing the dish that is right for you. Meanwhile in the kitchen, chef Emilienne Weizman, Eli's wife from Marseilles, France, will prepare the dish of your choice to perfection.
For meat lovers, there is Osso buco, highly recommended as well as Tornado Rossini (filet covered with goose liver in a very delicate Madeira wine sauce), Filet Mignion in pepper, Roquefort or mustered sauce or veal escalope in Marsala sauce, lemon sauce or au gratin. For a taste from the sea, try our escargot or one of the steamed or baked fish, like trout with lemon, garlic or cream almond sauce, or a salmon filet with lemon, garlic or pesto sauce. For dessert, choose from tiramisu, a selection of parfaits and sorbets or tarte tatin. Round off the meal with one of the choice wines offered. Galei Gondola stocks Israeli favorites as well as quality import from France, Italy, Spain and Chili.
Come to Galei Gondola for a romantic dinner, or enjoy the very reasonable business lunch offered Sunday to Thursday from noon until 4 p.m. which includes an appetizer of soup, quiche or salad, plus either a poultry or fish entree and chocolate mousse for dessert for only NIS 49,- .
