A fish and seafood restaurant in the pastoral Abu-Gosh village that serves fresh fish brought every early morning from the Jaffa fishermen’s harbour and fresh-water fish from pools. The fish, cleaned of all bones, are grilled on charcoal and served in a sauce of your choice. Crabs, shrimps, calamari and mussels are always fresh and the lobsters are alive. The salads and the bread are homemade, the condiments are imported from the US and the desserts are imported from Spain. The owner, David Peretz, who is also the chef, believes that his love for good food is put to its best use in the quiet and picturesque Abu-Gosh village. Forty minutes from Tel-Aviv and ten from Jerusalem, it is close enough to come on a whim, but far enough from the city noise that scares the lobsters and the city smells that might spoil the sauce.
